Today’s entry will be a little overview of where we are right now with the much anticipated release of CHASM Magazine Vol 4: The Passion Issue. Why is much anticipated, you ask? Well, the idea was originally to release Vol 4 in Spring of 2020...and clearly that did not happen...so naturally, lots of time for a build up of anticipation ;) Many circumstances affected this delay, from the global pandemic, to printer issues to, in all honesty, some mistakes made on our part.
It is quite interesting, though how God has used all of this to give us more authority in the area of “passion”. We thought we were passionate people in the beginning of 2020, but through this last year we’ve had to fight to keep our passion alive like never before. When things didn’t go the way we planned or situations seemed hopeless, we had to choose whether we allowed our passion to fade out or if we fought for our passion even when we didn’t feel it.
There have been a lot of joys and frustrations, victories and challenges, breakthroughs and missed opportunities in the making of this issue. But as we learned what true passion actually is through the process, our prayer is that the reader of The Passion Issue will do so as well.
WHAT’S NEXT?
The last hurdle to overcome in the releasing of Volume 4 is finances. As I’m sure you can imagine, printing an independent magazine isn’t cheap. God has already provided £1,015 (can we get an AMEN?!?), but we are still needing £ to reach our printing cost.
